Ingredients
  

  • 100 g Fresh Basil (Large Stems Removed)
  • 30 g Pine Nuts (or Walnuts)
  • 3 Cloves Garlic (we go for 5 usually)
  • 30 g Nutritional Yeast
  • 2 Lemon Juice
  • 25 ml Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 50 ml Water (more as needed)
  • 1 Pinch Sea Salt (or Himalayan Salt)

Instructions
 

  • For this recipe, a food processor or small blender will be needed.
  • Using the food processor, place the basil, pine nuts, garlic, lemon juice, nutritional yeast, and sea salt and blend until a paste is formed inside the blender.
  • Add the olive oil a little at a time (while the blender is running if possible). Then add the tbsp of water at a time until the desired consistent is achieved - a thick but pourable paste should be formed.
  • At this point, taste and adjust the flavour as needed. This cheesy pesto is perfect for adding to pastas, breads, zucchini noodles, and dressings.
